about chamber corps

chamber corps is a recording project of chris rossi and james hepler of durham, north carolina, usa. their music is cinematic in scope, sometimes delicate, sometimes epic, drawing upon influences from indy rock to classical, from the ancient to the modern.

chris is probably better known around durham and its environs as a recording engineer working out of his home studio, spacelab. chris also does infrequent solo performances as captain saturn. james has been the drummer for the venerated indy rock band, sorry about dresden, for ten years. sorry about dresden record for saddle creek records. james is also in demand throughout the triangle for his drumming and bass playing chops, not to mention his grilling acumen, and has played with a number of bands in the triangle area. lately, these have included en garde, sparkle pants, i was totally destroying it and erie choir. both james and chris play in the wusses, the smoothest band in north carolina.

in 2005 chamber corps put out a self released, self titled ep which they have made available as a free download. chamber corps have recently finished work on their first film score and are in the process of compiling and reworking some of the material from that to work in an album context for release hopefully this year.
